Isabel, a sixty-five-year-old woman, is advised by her doctor to exercise more, as her joint problems stem from her weight. Her daughter Nora proposes swimming, knowing that it could reconnect Isabel with her roots in Tecpan, Mexico. Reluctantly, Isabel agrees and begins sorting through old belongings, rediscovering a treasured photograph of herself as a little girl by the sea. Each photo brings back vivid memories of her youth, sparking a journey of self-rediscovery.
El médico le aconseja a Isabel, una mujer de sesenta y cinco años, que haga más ejercicio, ya que sus problemas articulares se deben a su peso. Su hija Nora le sugiere nadar, sabiendo que esta actividad podría reconectar a Isabel con sus raíces en Tecpan, México. A regañadientes, Isabel acepta y comienza a revisar sus viejas pertenencias, redescubriendo una preciada fotografía de cuando era niña, tomada junto al mar. The Salvadoran short film My Funeral is a dark comedy written, produced, directed, and starred in by young Salvadoran filmmaker Marlon Pérez, alongside other performers such as the renowned Julio Yúdice, with support from the Sivar Actors Studio (SAS) academy, run by fellow Salvadoran actress Vanesa Tomasino.

The story follows Octavio, a 17-year-old boy from Mexico City whose life changes abruptly after the sudden death of his mother. Following this loss, he is forced to move to Pachuca to live with his father, a man who has been completely absent throughout his entire life. This unexpected living situation forces Octavio to confront the man who abandoned him, while compelling his father to finally step up and take responsibility for his son.
El reencuentro es un cortometraje de drama realista escrito y dirigido por Fernando Navarro. La historia sigue a Octavio, un joven de 17 años de la Ciudad de México cuya vida cambia drásticamente tras la repentina muerte de su madre. A raíz de esta pérdida, se ve obligado a mudarse a Pachuca para vivir con su padre, un hombre que ha estado totalmente ausente durante toda su vida. Esta inesperada situación de convivencia obliga a Octavio a enfrentarse al hombre que lo abandonó, al tiempo que impele a su padre a asumir finalmente su responsabilidad como progenitor.
