In the intense 1960s, the young filmmaker Manuel Antín meets Julio Cortázar and his letters cross the Atlantic. Manuel films three movies based on Julio’s stories and generates a cinema of ideas that breaks the mold of his time. An ocean away, they write the script for Circe together. Cortázar’s letters reveal the tension between the writer who advances over the director’s space and the director who tries to elude the sinuous link between literature and cinema.
En los intensos años 60, el joven cineasta Manuel Antín conoce a Julio Cortázar y sus cartas cruzan el Atlántico. Manuel filma tres películas basadas en cuentos de Julio y genera un cine de ideas que rompe el molde de su época. A un océano de distancia escriben juntos el guion de Circe. Las cartas de Cortázar revelan la tensión entre el escritor que avanza sobre el espacio del director y el director que intenta eludir el sinuoso vínculo entre literatura y cine.
