Latin-Canadian teen Tony Tenorio is robbed of the phone he’s writing his college application on (due to a broken computer) and is called a racist slur by a thug (Connor McKenzie). He lies to his mother, saying he sent the application in to preserve her immigrant dream of him going to college. However, realizing his mother’s sacrifices he decides to track Connor down. He finds Connor getting jumped and there, must decide whether or not to save Connor and his chances at a better life.
